アートコレクション作品｜水元さきの 砂は落として

青を基調としたイラストで知られる水元さきのさんの、“水”をテーマにしたアクリル板による初の透明作品。

黒い線は漫画用の墨、白はアクリルガッシュで不透明に描くことで作品の裏側に影が落ちている一方で、青は透明なアクリル絵具で描かれることで影も青みがかり、見る角度や照明の位置によって作品の表情が変化します。

見たままではない色の表現は澄明な雰囲気を醸し、水の持つ清らかさや力強さ、そして、形を柔軟に変化させるこだわらなさといった感覚を、飾った空間全体に浸透させているようです。

通常は実物を観て作品購入するところ遠方で作品を直接観れませんでしたが、少ない線と色で現実以上の言葉を発しているような作品が印象に残り、オンラインでお迎えさせていただきました。

Sakino Mizumoto, known for illustrations grounded in shades of blue, presents her first transparent piece created on acrylic panels, themed around “water.”

Black lines are drawn with ink designed for manga, while white is depicted opaquely using acrylic gouache, casting shadows on the reverse side of the piece. In contrast, blue is painted with transparent acrylic paint, causing the shadows to bear a bluish tint, and the expression of the artwork changes depending on the viewing angle and the position of the lighting.

The unconventional color expressions foster a clear and lucid atmosphere, seemingly permeating the entire space where it’s displayed with the purity, strength, and non-conformity of water that changes its shape flexibly.

While it’s common to view a piece in person before purchasing, I was unable to see the work directly due to distance. Nonetheless, the piece, which seemed to utter words beyond reality with minimal lines and colors, left an impression, and I welcomed it into my collection online.
